Staying fit: what the doctor ordered!

After having a lovely 24 hour sailing voyage from marathon to Bimini without using our engines, except in the prospective channels, we overnighted at Brown’s Marina and visited with the manager Christian. Unfortunately, the Bahamian government has increased the cruisers fees from about $300 to over $800 for a boat our size. A two-year permit is $2500. While this will allow the fisheries to rebound somewhat, it is tough on all of the Bahamian people. We met the catamaran “Totally Loaded”as we were heading out on our way to Chubb Cay for another 24 hour sail where we will be more protected when the winds pick up tomorrow night.
I hope that Rob’s healing from his head wound. I am enjoying all the posts and pictures, although the conch salad picture made me drool. Peaceful anchorages in the more remote islands is priceless. These kind of moments are God’s grace in His glory. I did not know that you were posting on your website until you pointed it out. Now, I feel like I am there with you guys ,along for the ride ahead. It’s so much fun. Like watching my favorite series or reading a really good book. Onward!
